Aviation Weight and Balance MCP Connector for Claude

A+

Deterministic aircraft weight, moment, and CG calculator with safety envelope validation.

3 tools Official Updated Oct 1, 2026 Official Vinkius Partner

This MCP server provides precise tools for aircraft weight and balance management. It allows users to calculate the current weight, moment, and center of gravity (CG) using calculate_current_status. It also enables predicting how fuel consumption will shift the CG via predict_fuel_burn_impact and validating proposed passenger or baggage loads against safety envelopes using validate_load_configuration. It is designed to ensure aircraft remain within safe operating limits and below maximum takeoff weight.

3 tools expose this connector's capabilities to your AI agent.

calculate_current_status

Calculates the immediate weight, moment, and CG position based on the current configuration of the aircraft

predict_fuel_burn_impact

Calculates how much the CG will shift after a specific amount of fuel is consumed

validate_load_configuration

Checks if a specific set of proposed passenger or baggage loads will cause the aircraft to exceed weight or CG limits

Calculate the current status for an aircraft with 2500 lbs empty weight, 12500 lb-in empty moment, 500 lbs of fuel at 45 inches, and a pilot weighing 200 lbs at 38 inches.

The total weight is 3200 lbs, the total moment is 15400 lb-in, and the center of gravity is 4.81 inches.

If I burn 100 lbs of fuel located at a 45 inch arm, how will the CG shift from a current weight of 3200 lbs and moment of 15400 lb-in?

The new weight will be 3100 lbs, the new moment will be 14950 lb-in, the new CG will be 4.82 inches, and the CG shift is 0.01 inches.

Is it safe to add 400 lbs of baggage at a 120 inch arm if the max takeoff weight is 3500 lbs and the CG limits are 35 to 45 inches?

The configuration is unsafe because the total weight exceeds the maximum takeoff weight.

You can use the `calculate_current_status` tool. By providing the empty weight, moment, fuel weight, and load items, the tool will return whether the aircraft is within its safety envelope and if it is over the maximum takeoff weight.
