Le Chatelier Prediction

Le Chatelier Prediction MCP Connector for Claude

A+

Predict chemical equilibrium shifts caused by changes in concentration, pressure, or temperature.

4 tools Official Updated Oct 1, 2026 Official Vinkius Partner

This MCP server provides tools to predict how a chemical system at equilibrium responds to external disturbances. By applying Le Chatelier's Principle, the server calculates the direction of the equilibrium shift when concentration, pressure, or temperature is altered. Use predict_concentration_shift to analyze changes in component amounts, predict_pressure_shift for gas-phase pressure changes, and predict_temperature_shift to determine how thermal changes affect the reaction based on its enthalpy.

4 tools expose this connector's capabilities to your AI agent.

get_equilibrium_state

Provides a summary of the current chemical system status before a disturbance

predict_concentration_shift

Determines the direction and magnitude of equilibrium shift when a component's concentration is altered

predict_pressure_shift

Determines the direction of equilibrium shift when system pressure or volume is changed

predict_temperature_shift

Predicts how temperature changes affect the equilibrium based on the reaction's enthalpy

If I have 2 moles of A and 1 mole of B in an equilibrium, and I add 0.5 moles of A, what happens?

The equilibrium will shift in the forward direction to consume the added reactant.

What happens to an exothermic reaction if the temperature is increased?

The equilibrium will shift toward the reactants.

In a gas reaction with 3 moles of reactant gas and 1 mole of product gas, what happens if pressure increases?

The equilibrium will shift toward the side with fewer moles of gas, which is the product side.

You can use the `predict_concentration_shift` tool. Provide the current reactants and products, then specify the component being added in the disturbance object.
