This MCP server provides statistical tools to estimate a student's percentile rank within their school using the normal distribution model. By providing the student's GPA, the school's mean GPA, and the standard deviation, you can use calculate_rank_from_gpa to find your estimated top percentage. If you have a specific goal in mind, estimate_target_gpa calculates the required GPA needed to reach that target percentile. Additionally, get_placement_context provides qualitative labels like 'Elite' or 'Highly Competitive' based on your rank. Note: All results are mathematical approximations and should be treated as statistical estimates, not official academic records.

You are likely in the top 11.5%.

How much GPA do I need to be in the top 10% if the mean is 3.0 and SD is 0.4?

To reach the top 10%, you would need a GPA of approximately 3.51.

What does being in the top 5% mean for my academic standing?

Being in the top 5% places you in the 'Elite' category, representing exceptional academic standing at the peak of the distribution.

The tool uses a normal distribution model, which is a mathematical approximation. While useful for estimation, it should not be used as an official academic record.
